He was in charge of both procurement and customer-related quality engineering and program management. He also directed the sourcing of new suppliers and assisted in the engineering phase of products from that source. From May 2000 to March 2006,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Walter J. Fite was the Quality Manager/Engineer in the same company. In this position,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he provided strategic goals,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], leadership and management of development teams and projects. He also served as the primary liaison with US Government. Walter directed strategic plans,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], development of business requirements and development of functional program specifications. In addition, he properly scheduled and assigned resources, managed ramp activities to full production levels and worked closely with research and development on projects related to new decoy products. Outstandingly, he was responsible for the initiation of ISO-9001 certification program that ultimately resulted to successful certification in 2006.
From January 1990 to January 1995, Walter J. Fite was the Director of Quality at Pennfield Precision Inc., having main products of precision CNC Machined components and mechanical assemblies. Fite was the Inspection Supervisor at Lockheed Martin (Loral) Fairchild Systems from August 1981 to January 1990.
He also worked at SPS Technologies Inc. as a Set-up-Operator from September 1978 - August 1981.
